Transportation Post Reopening at Walt Disney World

This is probably the most scariest thing about Disney World right now. In some aspects it is really safe, in others.... well not so much. I am going to break down my opinion on each form starting with what I considered the safest to least safest.

Car

For obvious reasons this is the safest option. It will probably be on the more expensive side, but the good thing about this is you avoid contact with literally anyone and can go drop off things to your car throughout the day. If you can add to your budget the premium parking spaces, I would definitley recommened it. It leaves you closest to the parks

Gondolas

If you do not want to rent a car or take your own car, I found that gondalas were the safest form of transportation. This is for the people staying at the Riviera, Caribbean Beach Resort (not my favorite), Pop Century, and Art of Animation resorts. You get one cabin to yourself and transportation to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Please do keep in mind that they open about 15 minutes before park opening and lines are LONG and in the sun :(

Monorail

This one is for people staying at Contemporary, Grand Floridian, or Polynesian, or for those parking at the Ticket and Transpo Center. Like the Gondolas, lines get pretty packed due to limited seating. Contrary to the gondolas, they do open earlier than park times. Here each family or a max party of four gets a cabin. You are directed to a seat and may have it all to yourself or share with two other people. I did think it was still safe but if we were to get stuck, I would have had a small panic attack.

Boat This is really hard to explain in a way. Not all boat transportation is working. All of the boat transportation to Epcot and Hollywood Studios is cancelled, really only Magic Kingdom is working since it is completely open. There is no say on when it will change back to normal, but seating is also limited and can feel a bit crowded.

Bus

On the bus they do have it on a really limited capacity, however, it may even still feel crowded. Keep in mind some distances are at least twenty minutes and that is not including traffic. If you go during mid-day or not rush hour you will probably be able to have a almost empty bus. But the horror stories of waiting for buses are already very chaotic, so that is something to keep in mind.
